Okay so my last review knocked the poor service we got for our lunch and cost them a star. So this visit I'll add a half a star and give them a 5 99% due to a GREAT server, Connor. All the things that were missing last time were present this time. Connor was attentive but not annoying, was helpful and friendly. We were then treated to a great lunch special of grouper with a side of pasta and it was one of the nicer lunches one might have. Now here's an idea..do this every time! If someone from the restaurant reads these, give Connor a big pat on the back...you've got a great server there who rescued my opinion and obviously enough to re-review! Nice lunch.

The salmon piccata is so good. But the girl who wears bows constantly rolls her eyes when asked for service. It makes for an awkward dinner

White pizza was delicious! Staff and atmosphere were great. We loved our waiter Conner. Thanks for the great service!

Really loved this pizza place! They have truly tasty pizza- it's in the top 3 I've had in Florida. Price: on the high side for a regular place around here. However, the pizza is worth it and the wait staff is excellent! Everyone in the place is constantly checking in and waiting on the tables. You never go without refills or service-Top notch customer service! Food: excellent! I have nothing but amazing things to say Atmosphere: High class. Very beautifully decorated with a cozy feel. I walked in and felt like I was in a 5 star restaurant. Overall: Terra Mia should be your check stop when you're looking for pizza.

Went here to celebrate my husband's birthday. After today, we have a new favorite Italian place. Everything from the bread to dessert was exquisite. The food was light, FRESH, and tasty. Service was superb and the tiramisu was to die for! Plan to return very soon!

I have been twice now - once for lunch for a coworker's birthday and once for dinner. The first time (lunch) was dreadfully slow. Granted, there were 8 of us, but it took 8 hours. The food was excellent. The second time, last week for dinner, was wonderful. Our server (a young man going to college whose name I cannot remember) was wonderful! He was very attentive, chatty and funny, and was very accommodating when we asked to be moved inside. There was a couple sitting next to my pregnant friend and I chain smoking and we couldn't handle it any longer. He immediately moved us inside and made us feel comfortable and not at all guilty about the request. We shared the arugula and prosciutto salad, which was huge and absolutely delicious, and I had the eggplant parmesan, which was equally as delicious. Instead of the eggplant being fried, like it normally is, it was almost like a lasagna. Layers and layers of thinly cut eggplant with cheese and sauce. It was perfect! I will definitely go back again - the food was super yummy!

Very cute little place for dinner. Perhaps too small though. I have been a few times, however it is always cramped and a bit uncomfortable. I feel that the bar is too close to the regular dining area, however the building is too small to add any more separation between them. With regards to the food, the pizza is phenomenal. Unfortunately, the calamari is far from it. It was uncomfortably chewy which made me just tired of eating it. I also had muscles which were nothing out of this world. If you want pizza, I highly recommend Terra Mia! However, if you want typical Italian dishes such as calamari or muscles, save yourself the crowded little room and endless chewing!!

Amazing, amazing, absolutely AMAZING! Hands down. Best Italian food we've ever had. Close to Italy as it gets. We tried the Caprese salad, the Capricciosa pizza, the cappuccino and close with the tartufo gelato. We are definitely be back and tell friends. Amazing experience!!!!

Terra Mia serves quality and flavorful Italian food. I tried the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and it was very close to what you would typically find in Italy (I lived there for 10 years). The dish was creamy, flavorful, and full of meaty pieces of pancetta. If I lived in the Lake Mary area I would visit this restaurant on a regular basis.

I'm so glad this place exists in the culinary void that is the corner of H E Thomas Jr Parkway and International Parkway. TerraMia is an Italian gem and not because it's surrounded by mediocre restaurants, but because it is legitimately a good Italian restaurant. They have great lunch specials which makes for more manageable portion and wallet controls. Their pizzas are so far my favorites, but their pastas are pretty good, too. They start you off with bread service and trust me, you do not want to pass on this! Service is mostly great, and it helps that one of my coworkers know them pretty well. We've only had one server that was somewhat lackluster. Definitely recommended, and they're usually pretty quick for lunch, too.

Went with a workgroup, they accommodated us with easily with a smile. Great dishes and beer as well.

This is our favorite pizza/Italian restaurant. We love the mozzarella and prosciutto salad and I've tried to make mock versions at home. The flavors are very fresh and nothing seems to be prepared too in advance. The bread and oil is great that is brought out to the table and the appetizers are fairly large. We had a mix up with a delivery order and they were able to mend it at our next visit. Overall, the service is great, but if the restaurant has a line, they make you feel like you need to get out ASAP.

Carbs, I love you, but you're not good for me. However, I make an exception when it comes toTerra Mia. I was recently in Lake Mary for 2 and a half weeks for work and I think I came here 3 times for dinner. Normally when I travel, I don't like to repeat places for dinner, no matter how good my experience was, because I like to try as many new places as possible. Our group made an exception for this place for good reason. We had the same server each time and I wish I could remember his name... He looks younger and is medium height and has brown hair. He was so accommodating and professional to our large group each time he served us. He was very speedy in getting our food and drinks to our table. Thumbs up for that. He also made good recommendations, such as combining tomatoes and garlic with the prosciutto and mozzarella. I actually didn't try the pizza when we were here, but my friends did and it looked great. In fact, everything did. I had the gnocchi and the tuna salad, and my mouth is watering thinking about each of them. They also have a good wine list and serve Peroni! Yum! A nice little Italian place that has more than just plates and plates of pasta! The interior is cozy but they also have outdoor seating.

TerraMia can do no wrong when it comes to their food. It's excellent. Everything is cooked to perfection and the service is always excellent. This is place for adults and NOT for children at all - leave the kids at home. My only compliant about TerraMia is the size of the restaurant. I hate coming here because you will always need to wait for a table and when you finally get a table - it's extremely claustrophobic. People will be standing over you during dinner and it gets incredibly loud. I only wish they would move to a bigger location.

  • Julianne E.

We brought the kids up here thinking this was just another brick oven pizza place. This is not your typical pizza joint; it's a small upscale Italian restaurant. Thankfully we came in early because seating is very limited. This place definitely fills up quickly with lots of people standing around waiting to be seated. The wait staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable in regards to their menu and wine pairing. We ended up skipping the appetizer and salads, went straight for the meals. My b/f ordered the one of the chef's specials; it was Grouper that's really all I know. He said it was ok and didn't seem that excited about it. I ordered a Chicken dish, chicken breast with roasted red peppers and prosciutto topped with cheese and cooked in a white wine sauce. Went with the side of spinach instead of the pasta, it was sautéed in a wine sauce as well. I enjoyed my meal, would most likely order it again. My b/f ordered a plain cheese pizza for his son; unfortunately they don't make kids size pizzas. It did make for a great dinner the next night. My daughter had ordered a potato dish in a red creamy sauce. I tried that and it was very good. We paired dinner with a wonderful Italian red wine the waiter had recommended. It was well worth the price. I will definitely return here, maybe just come up for the pizza. Just the cheese pizza alone was delish! There are two locations, one in Altamonte and one in Lake Mary. We went to the Lake Mary one on whim as it's so close to home.

Excellent service and really good food. The place is authentic and serve high quality Italian dishes for a great price. I will come here again.

I came here as I was on a work trip and I was checking Yelp for some good Italian food and boy was I disappointed. First the bread they brought out in the basket was cold. I did like the vinegar, oil and pepper combo. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara because I saw a few people raving about it on here. It was terrible. By far the worst I've ever had. It was salty and tastes of just pepper. It wasn't the creamy carbonara I've become use to. I wanted to send it back but with only 3 patrons at the time in there, I didn't want to single myself out. I expected a lot better from this place based on the reviews and now I'm sad and hoping I don't have a sick stomach tonight.

Great food. I'd give them 4.5 stars for their pizza. Poor service drops them to a 3. Placed an order for pickup. When I walked in I saw what I thought were my pizzas sitting on top of the oven I the back. I was told to see Victoria to get my take out. After cashing out a client whose pizza was still in the oven and walking around talking to other employees for another 10 minutes, I was 'greeted' by Victoria. I paid for my pizza and then she went and got it for me. Just kidding, that's what should have happened. She had to check her phone first then talk with another server THEN she found time to get my pizza. After I returned home, I told my wife, "I hope I don't like this pizza because I never want to go back." Well, the pizza was great! In the future I will ask who's working before I order.

Had lunch here with a colleague on Friday the 6th. She had soup of the day & the special which was sausage and broccoli ravioli in vodka sauce. I had the lasagna in Bolognaise sauce. Mine was very good even though not a true Bolognaise ( no discernable meat). The special, was outstanding.

  • Andra L.

Some of the best white pizza and gnocchi in town! Lots of vegetarian friendly options for everyone in the family. Nothing to complain about except I wish there was more seating! My heart sinks when I can't get a table but it's always worth the wait.

Best Italian in the area. The only better is their other location in Longwood and A great dinner place called Enzo's. Great lunch and great prices. Good pizza, the best lasagna and other pasta dishes.

We chose this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed! We had the day's specials: osso buco and red snapper. Oh my gosh. It was delicious! They serve real, crusty bread and an oil dip. Yum. We sat outside. It was lovely. Topping off this great meal with a couple of double espressos. :)

What a cute little place! Hubby and I were out running errands in the area and had a taste for pizza. Reviews from fellow Yelpers led us to TerraMia. It's fairly small inside, but has a nice cozy feeling. There is also a small outside patio. It was hot out, so we opted to sit inside. We didn't have to wait for a seat, but I think we got lucky....seems like it has the potential to get crowded in there. They offer complimentary bread with seasoned olive oil dipping sauce. Delish! For our meal, we decided to start with a Prosciutto and Buffalo Mozzarella salad. The server obviously took note that we were splitting it because the portion was divided and brought out on two separate plates. I love when places do this! Even though it's an easy step, to me it shows that a restaurant cares. Sometimes it's the little things :) The salad was very good. It was served on top of greens with tomato and red onion, and tossed it a balsamic vinaigrette. I could tell they don't skimp on the quality of prosciutto and mozzarella they use. For our pizza we had a hard time deciding, as they all sounded so good! In the end we chose the Salamino (spicy salami, tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil). It was yummy! While we were eating our pizza, we asked to see the menu again so we could take note of everything else they offer. Aside from pizza and salad, there's a good selection of apps, Panini's, pasta and meat dishes. We already started to plot what we would order next time we came. TerraMia is a great Lake Mary find...tasty food and good service combined with a cozy, clean atmosphere. I look forward to going back.

Located near exit 101, this little family owned pizza joint is run by authentic Italians! It was so fun listening to their conversations all in Italian and it made me really excited to try their food. Although good, it was Americanized. The Ceasar salad didn't taste homemade, but out of a jar. The margarheta pizza was good but it wasn't fresh mozzarella but more like the mozzarella cheese american pizzerias use. Would I return? Sure but I wouldn't go out of my way.

If the chubby italian chef is there stay and you will love this place and feel what it is to eat italian food, best carbonara I ever had! But if hes not run like the wind!

Best italian restaurant around. Food is fresh and delious. We have ordered their take out pizza often and enjoy it everyte, thin crust and great sauce. The chicken parm is my wife favorite and i love the lasagna and fettucini. Never had a bad dish! Prices are great, place is small so be prepared for a wait Friday or Saturday evening.

After living in Italy, it has been hard to stomach some pizza around this area. I have to say the combination of sauce and cheese on the margherita pizza is one of the closest I've come across. Also, the pasta is al dente! I'm very happy to have found my earth.

Pizza was good and unusual, but a bit on the pricey side for what you get and seating is cramped.

I had lunch here today and I must say, that I will definitely be back. Awesome lunch menu, I shared a pizza that was very well crafted, the sauce was really good. The salad was great too. We also had very good servive.

I think this is a hidden gem and while it's very crowded, I'm still going to tell others to go there and possible take the table I hoped to get. I travel to the area on a regular basis and try to get in here a least once a week when I'm in town. In a nutshell this is a family owned place that gives excellent service and great food. They have a reasonably sized menu, but keep it simple and execute very well. They have daily specials which I'd recommend getting, they are always excellent. What you get here that you don't find in many if any of the other local restaurants near this place are very knowledgeable and professional wait staff. They know the menu, the wines and how to wait on a table. I've been to both locations and they are consistently good at both.

Well, I was invited here for lunch with a colleague. I decided to try something else because there pizza is just not all that great. I tried their Gnocchi Sorrentina . It was terrible. It tasted like spaghettio's. The sauce was supposed to be fresh and made with collina tomatoes. It was very orange and tasted terrible. I really wish there was a true Italian restaurant that could make real Italian food. I will not eat here again. This is not my mothers Italian cooking at all.

I took my mom to TerraMia for her birthday this week, and I have to say that I wasn't that impressed. When we walked in, we weren't promptly greeted. As a matter of fact, the hostess/barmaid was rifling through her purse and had to be told that someone was at the front. Overall, I would describe the service as mediocre at best. Our server was a conversationalist, but not in a fun, helpful way. We sat right next to the bar, mind you this place is SMALL, but we could hear every conversation that was being had--including the drunken escapades of the previous evening. I wasn't that impressed with the food either. I ordered the Margarita Pizza, and even though the crust was good, the sauce and toppings really didn't have a much of a flavor. My mom ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and I will say that the meatballs were nice and light, and not too dense like meatballs can tend to get, however they were lacking in the seasoning department. Overall, I was not overly excited about the food or the staff, so I probably won't be coming back here anytime soon.

I love this little tucked away restaurant with amazing service and food. When I travel to Lake Mary for business, I make sure to stop here for dinner. I ordered the Italian Sea Bass special recently, and it was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, grilled, and prepared ...everyone at the table loved it. This is one of those places where you don't feel rushed, and the appetizers, salads, and entrees are well timed so you can linger over a bottle of wine during dinner. My husband introduced colleagues who were moving down to the his company's new building, and now it's become that offices favorite place for lunch (and just footsteps away from their new building). Service is attentive and friendly. Just a fantastic experience every time I go.

TerraMia has been slowly becoming my favorite place to meet friends for dinner. I've never had a 'bad' meal there. The specials are great and I recommend the Pork Osso Bucco and NY Strip when available. The house bread and dipping sauce is addictive! We always get a garden salad with their delicious balsamic dressing. I considered giving 4/5 stars because the wait staff needed more "service with a smile" - At times (and obviously depending on the person) we've felt that we were "annoying" them because we tend to come later in the evening (my friends and I work late). MOST times the wait staff is great and always on top of our drinks, etc. Maybe call ahead and check seating availability as they tend to pack this place on Friday and Saturday nights! I definitely recommend trying TerraMia if you're ever in the area!

  • Justin J.

Stellar service & consistently good food. Extremely reasonable prices for what it is and for that, I give 5 stars. They aren't trying to be something they're not which is why I like them so much. It's simply a small, casual Italian restaurant. Dress up, dress down, does not matter. Keep it up Terra Mia and we'll keep coming back! Tip: If you have a wait time, and usually there is, get a bottle of wine or something...your wait time will seem shorter!

Great food with excellent service. The server was knowledgable of the menu and personable. We ordered the sausage and peppers appetizer which we both agreed could be easily substituted as a main course. We also ordered the margarita pizza that was also very good. Restaurant was very clean as well. We will definitely be back!!

Stick with the pizza. We noticed toward the end of our meal that everyone we could see on the full patio ordered pizza. Trust your fellow diners. The first time I came here I (and the friends I was with) had pizza, and it was delicious: crispy and flavorful with good-quality cheese and excellent toppings. For $10-$12 for an 11-inch "personal" pie (that easily feeds 2), you can't go wrong. The second time we came we were in the mood for a nicer dinner and so ordered the specials-- pork osso bucco for my roommate, chicken four-cheese ravioli in vodka sauce for me. The prices were ridiculous and the portions were unsatisfactory. I got just FIVE medium-sized ravioli (for almost $16!) with one small chunk of tough chicken in each one. Neither the filling or sauce was very flavorful; I should have asked for a good drizzle of balsamic to kick it up a bit (or garlic or Parmesan or...). We had two entrees, two glasses of wine, one quite oversteamed cappuccino and a tiramisu and our total (after the waiter fixed the bill where he initially rang up a significantly more expensive wine than we'd ordered) was $65. NOT worth it in any way, shape, or form for a very mediocre meal for which we waited over half an hour after ordering our food! (Several tables of diners near us who were seated after us got their pizzas well before our food came.) The service on both occasions was acceptable. Pleasant but not what I'd classify as particularly attentive. The tiramisu was quite good: the ladyfingers dipped in good coffee and weren't overly soft; topped with cocoa and the whole not overly sweet. In sum: Go for pizza and tiramisu. Pretend they don't have anything else on the menu.

If you love freshly prepared Italian food and brick oven pizza and bread this is the place. My wife tries other chicken parm dishes and nothing compares to Terra Mia. I like the specials and the calzones.

Y.U.M.! A co-worker (with amazing taste) introduced another girl and me to this little gem. I might have driven past it and never known it existed. Thanks be to my foodie friend, my taste buds cheered at lunch time! Service was great, and they really step on it if you order off the lunch express menu. We started with a simple salad of field greens and tomato that was included with our pizza order. And that simple, thin-crust pizza with tomato, basil, mozzarella and prosciutto was so delish, I could barely stop eating it in time to put the rest of it in the to-go container. Oh, had I just discovered this place when I moved to the area, and not as I was about to move away...

Was attending a seminar at the Marriot and walked over to Terra Mia. Saw Mr. (let's put tolls on I-4) Congressman John Mica eating there but decided to eat there anyway but insisted on sitting on their patio. They have a few tables outside but the atmosphere is typical Florida, sitting outside of a strip mall. They have a very reaaonable lunch menu for $7.50 which includes wonderful fresh bread with dipping oil and a nice side salad. I rarely order pizza for one because they are generally tiny but this one hit the bill. You can add topping for $1.25 each and I had mine with sausage. The sausage was very tasty and hand sliced. The cheese tasted real, not like the imitation stuff used at most pizzerias these days. Crust is good because the brick oven does a nice job. All in all a very pleasant experience and the service was very good. Would go here again for lunch in a heart beat.

This place is fantastic! My new favorite in Lake Mary. You can tell they take great pride in their food and the quality of their ingredients! Our server, Austin was fantastic! We really appreciated both his entree, pizza and dessert recommendations! Definitely try the pizza (we had the Salamino) and the tiramisu (super light and way yummy)! What a wonderful local find! We can't wait to come back again and again to try the rest of the menu, I can't imagine there's a bad choice on there!

We did not intend to come here for dinner but when our other plans fell through, we thought we would give it a try. The place was busy! We were lucky to get two seats at the bar, otherwise there would have been a decent wait to be seated. The bar was a tight fit but it worked. This place seems to be non-stop. The people buzz around like bees and it is a small place with not a lot of space to move up and down the restaurant. Everything on their menu sounded delicious! I opted for the Genovese Pizza. Since it said they were personal pizzas, my husband got the Tortellini dish. The pizzas are not very personal size which was a pleasant surprise. The Genovese was delicious! My husband enjoyed his Tortellini dish but was still hungry and ate some of the pizza as well. The couple next to us got the Calzone and it looked AMAZING! You can definitely share that one! Lucky for me, I will be in this area for a while so I can come back again soon!

We had a terrific experience at this little gem of a place! Our server was very friendly and helpful in guiding our selections, and the food was delicious! I had the gnocchi, and it was melt-in-your-mouth good. My friend had the penne puttanesca and loved it. We also shared the profiteroles, and they were delectable. This will be our go-to for pasta from now on, but I hope to eventually try the pizza, too.

The atmosphere here is nice, but is a little small. However, they have a brick pizza oven, and I have to say, their pizza is really, really good. A bit pricey, but very good. The dough was so flavorful, and their sauce is made fresh in house. The whole experience reminded my wife and I of being in Rome and getting fresh pizza, created and baked up like a masterpiece!

Best pizza and their entrees are wonderful. Very nice to eat outside although it's in the parking lot. Would be over the top if they had a courtyard. Love the food!

I'm disappointed in Terra Mia. I go to lunch there a couple of times a month, and they seem to be slipping a bit. Last time I ordered eggplant, and the portion was much smaller than usual. This time I ordered lasagna, also a small portion, a tad flavorless with hardly any meat or cheeses. Oh, and it was served barely lukewarm. The house salad seems to be getting smaller and smaller--just a few skimpy greens. Too bad, because at one time Terra Mia had it going on. I saw pizza's coming out of the oven, and they still look good. A word of advice: stop skimping on the portions and cutting down on the quality ingredients--I'd hate to see this once-stellar place go by the wayside!!

I ordered to go- servers were not nice there and the hostess seemed rude- my order when I got home had like 10 penne and a dried out chicken breast and it took me half an hour just to heat it up cause it was not hot! Would not go here again

WE LOVE TERRA MIA!!! My husband and his family are from NY and grew up eating fantastic Italian food, and some of the best pizza in the world. We were a little weary when coming here originally to try the pizza, but once we tried it we were sold. We brought his parents by the restaurant when they were in town, and they agreed it is NY quality. The red sauce is simply perfect; the crust is nice and thin and charred perfectly by the brick oven, and the mozarella is high quality. You won't be dissapointed. Speaking of red sauce, we enjoy theirs so much that we have ordered extra sauce from the restaurant multiple times to use with our pasta at home. The Eggplant Rollatini is absolutely delicious, and a fantastic deal at lunch time. Most of their express lunches are roughly $7.50 and you get a very generous portion of food! The meat sauce, lasagna and meatballs are all DELICIOUS. If you like salads, try the one with grilled artichokes. The flavors are just right. TRY IT! You won't be sorry. Just be warned it's small and you may have to wait a while on the weekends, so go early or late to avoid the rush.

After reading the reviews about how great their pizza was, I finally decided to give it a try. The place was extremely cramped, and the layout is very awkward, but I went during lunch time so at least it wasn't very crowded. I ordered the margherita pizza, as it is always my baseline to determine the quality of pizza made by an establishment. If you can't master this simple pizza, then I need not waste my time returning. To drink, I ordered one of their two beer selections. The blue moon I ordered showed up in a peroni glass? Anyways, the pizza arrived and at first glance I knew I wasn't going to be happy with the pizza. Clearly whoever made it has no idea what a margherita pizza is. I took one bite and was instantly reminded of a chuck-e-cheese pizza from my childhood. Exact same taste. The only difference was every other slice had a tiny sliver of basil. The service was fine, no complaints there, But I will definitely not be returning, that's for sure!

I love this little gem. I am in Lake Mary at least once a month and always find an excuse to go to Terra Mia for dinner. If there is something I want that may not exactly be on the menu, they have always been accomodating and service is always fantastic. Go and try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Love TerraMia! I have had food to go, have eaten at the bar, and have had full table service. Their Italian food is authentic. I enjoy their pizzas quite a bit. For Florida, I think they are one of the better places. The lasagna was full of flavor and well-plated. The staff have always been great. You do want reservations as the restaurant does get packed during peak times. I must thank Oliver from Pierre's Wine Shop in Lake Mary for recommending this place to me. Merci beaucoup, Oliver!

Absolutely the best pizza that I've had this side of the Atlantic, bar none! You would have to go to Naples, Italy to top this! The panini, made in true Italian tradition, are excellent especially when paired with a Peroni draft. For an appetizer, I love the alici. And you can't go wrong with any of their pasta, fish, or meat dishes. They have a small but very nice wine selection. I eat there often and, because I resemble a certain famous Italian soccer ref, I'm always greeted with "ciao Collina"!

This place is really delicious. It's a very quaint, small restaurant that (when I went) was packed. And I'm assuming since it's one of the few good restaurants in this area, it's usually packed. Their food was very tasty. I ordered the salmon, which was very well-cooked and tasted divine. I only went her once so I never got to try their pizza, which seems to be what they're known for. The lady, who me and my friend spoke to, was a regular and said that the chef is actually from Italy. You can see the chef shuffling and cooking in the open, which is nice if you're paranoid about people doing bad things to your food. The service was very nice; I didn't have any problems with them. Generally, an excellent experience. If I was still living in the area, I would go again to try their pizza or a different entree. I definitely recommend it.

I have to say I wasn't impressed with this pizza. My mother in-law picked this up last week for the Florida game and we knew not to expect American style pizza so we thought we knew were getting. The pizza was supposed to have fresh mozzarella and basil, but I the cheese didn't seem like fresh mozzarella, and there was a sprig of basil. The other 1 had pepperoni and it was better. I may go back to try some of the other things, but I tried the pizza and while it wasn't horrible I feel I can do better.

The food here is truly great. The staff and owners are actually Italian, which is refreshing in a world where pizza places are as ubiquitous as McDonalds. The atmosphere reminds me of the best and busiest of NYC, the service is always fast and accommodating, be prepared to wait though, as getting a table here could take up to 30 minutes, 5 if you're lucky during their busy dinner service. Their plates are all authentic, I can't tell you how many of their menu items are favorites of mine, but I can tell you that I haven't found anything I don't like. A cold Peroni goes well with their pizza fresh from the brick oven.

I've had lunch here a half dozen times, and I've been happy pretty much every time. The most recent was to celebrate Chinese New Year with 3/4 of my family. We're Chinese - what more appropriate way than lunch on a cuisine that wouldn't be what it is without the Chinese! To top it off, it was a nice enough day to dine al fresco, making it possible for our pooches to join us. Don't be fooled by the somewhat inappropriate name. While they do serve a killer pizza I'm told, there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. They also have a $7.50 lunch menu that offers 6-7 different choices, incl. a personal pizza, a stromboli, a chicken milanese salad, lasagna ... which is what I had on that day. Nice hot fresh tangy (but not TOO much) baked pasta, just the right lunch size, that also comes with a delicate side salads of mixed greens. Unfortunately and surprisingly, neither my wife nor daughter wanted dessert. So I don't get to get to do my "Are you kidding me!" indignation at their suggestion I taste, only to sigh deeply and comply just to be chivalrous. I do want to recognize that clean-cut young waiter; he has short dark hair, combed back. He has served me only once, but I've noticed him always paying attention to the needs of tables that aren't his. A service attitude like that deserves a shout-out and a nod. So if you're in the Heathrow Lake Mary neighborhood, check this place out. Would love to find out what dinner's like, and whether the fare at dinnertime compares with that of the mothership 2 exits down.

Great place - small by design to maintain atmosphere but makes for waits too. Friendly staff, good service.

Ate here on a Monday night. Service was prompt and friendly. Entrees are reasonably priced. Their 13" personal pizza was quite large for me, 2 people could easily share. Fresh ingredients and a tasty crust. My husband and I split a salad and they brought it to us from the kitchen already split onto 2 plates. My husband had the carbonara pasta and seemed to really enjoy it.

We had heard about the great food here so a group of 5 of us made an after-movie appointment to get one of their raved about paninis. The short story is, none of us got paninis after being intrigued by the menu. The gnocchi we ordered was stellar with a great cheesy red sauce. My brother in law's pizza looked amazing even though I hate mushrooms and frankly, my daughter's meatballs (included with her Fettuccine Alfredo) drew the most raves. Our 20-25 minute wait for a table turned into 45 min. when a group decided not to leave when they got their check and my group was getting feisty. Once the food arrived, the sniping stopped and quickly turned into raves about it being worth the wait. Ill be back as its right down the street but takeout will be the preferred method next time and probably with an order of a meatball panini or three.

Food: I think it's safe to say that this place offers standard Italian food. It's not bad but it's not excellent. The manager and the chef seem to be 100% Italian so one would assume their food would be more authentic in taste. It's nothing to write home about. Rating - 6/10 Service/Conduct: The server was very nice and attentive. I ordered a simple bowl of meat sauce (bolognese) with spaghetti. Now, three things happened that should not have happened: 1) The chef told my server to charge me $13.95 for spaghetti and meat sauce. 2) The server did not have the courtesy to check with me to see if it was ok to charge me $13.95 for the most basic pasta known to man. 3) After I confronted the server about the $13.95, the server did not make any effort to decrease the price of the pasta or at least comp my refreshments. I will let you know that the most expensive pasta on the menu (that comes with seafood) was about $12.00. How they had the audacity to charge me almost $14.00 for spaghetti and meat sauce is beyond me. Rating - 2.5/10 Average Rating - 4/10 (2 out of 5 stars)

OK, so this place is very small and always crowded. The local's love it but for me it's just OK. The pizza is good, the calzones are better and the lunch special's are very reasonable. The open Kitchen allows a good view of how they melt cheese - MICROWAVE. Yuck.... It's low quality cheese so I guess it's not worthy of the oven. This is not gourmet food at all. So if you have your expectations managed and stay with the basic pizza, calzones and maybe a pasta dish it will be fine - but stay within their limits.

Great service. True NY style pizza. Just like Grimaldi's or Lombardi's in NYC. Best meal ever in Lake Mary. Great Service as well. Don't miss this place

This is the best Italian restaurant in central Florida. The owners are Neapolitan, so they really know fish and pizza. You won't find it better anywhere by Italy. It's the special pizza oven, and the high quality flour that makes the pizza great! If you don't like it, you don't like pizza from Italy.

This place is small but cozy. Always busy because of the great food, but the service is usually up to par. I've been here many times and only once was I disappointed with our server. But the food is delicious. True Italian cuisine and pizza can be found here, for a very reasonable price. They also have an excellent wine selection. I just wouldn't come here with a large party (more than 4) simply because the seating would be too cramped for comfort. This place is better for a date.

Terra Mia is an amazing restaurant! Not only is the cuisine first class, but the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. My husband and I eat here when a can and have always enjoyed the very best of everything when we do. Last week we took a group of friends to Terra Mia, last minute, and were welcomed by two of the best waiters ever (Sean and Austin) who, although we arrived (and stayed) late, offered the very best in service. Our friends raved about the food and we want to thank Sean and Austin for being so patient and attentive while we sat outside visiting, not noticing the late hour. You guys are amazing!!! Thank you so very much for a fantastic dining experience!

Great place for gourmet Italian food. Highest quality ingredients at a very reasonable price Food is prepared European style not USA style Pizza very thin crust. Perfect dough spicy imported salami with light cheese and very little sauce. I thought I was sitting in Milan Except I was in a parking lot in heathrow. Service was very attentive but trying to push all the extras app. Salad. Dessert and coffee. 5 stars for the pizza 4 stars for location and too much salesmanship

Small cramped environment, but honestly great simple food. The way Italian should be, simple ingredients cooked well. Had the sweet sausage ravioli.. great meal. Recommend, but come not during peak hours..it can get crowded and loud.

So this little TerraMia is a smaller-beer-and-wine-only-version of the bigger Terra Mia in Altamonte Springs. From what I understand it's significantly smaller and more affordable. Yet it does the same amount of business. That would be because the food is completely ridiculously absurdly delicious. I'm a fan of Italian food and order the Eggplant Parmigiana most places I go. Now for $7.99 at lunch, I wasn't really expecting a) a big portion, or b) outstanding quality. Not only did I get a huge dish of Eggplant Parm, I got a fantastic salad and all delicious bread with the seasoned oil I could want. Now, I'm usually one to try to finish my food - I hate to take things home - but it wasn't even a question with this Eggplant Parm. I couldn't stop eating it. Finally, when every last piece was done, I was done. I was ridiculously full, but if there had been even more, I would have eaten it. It was just. so. freakin. good! Friends I was with had pizza and calzones - all went over well. The only thing that sucks about TerraMia is the limited seating. This place is SMALL. If you're going with more than two people, I would get there before the lunch or dinner rush. And be prepared to sit outside.

I really wanted to like this place. Orlando has such a need for authentic pizza, and I had high hopes. Bottom line: the pizza was very average overall. The toppings were fresh and excellent, but the crust was generic. Great pizza means a great crust: it must be chewy, crunchy, yeasty and have a charred flavor and texture. The crust at Terra Mia had no individual personality. I would have given the restaurant 3 stars, but the management was extremely rude and unprofessional. We had a party with 2 tables and the manager told us mid way through dinner that the table our children were sitting at had to be vacated because another party wanted that particular table. Our kids were involuntarily moved with their food to a table all the way in the front. When asked about how we would be accomodated for this incovenience, such as a round of beers, the manager snarled that he would be embarrassed to ask for such a thing. We were with another family that night, and neither of us will ever go back based on this experience.

We tried coming here on a cold night earlier in the week when it was around 40 degrees out. It was our first time here so we didn't know what to expect but the menu looked great. The place is very small with only about 15 tables which were all full. The bar was completely packed as well so there was no place for us to wait other than standing in the doorway, which is roughly six feet from the first table. The host said we could eat outside - who eats outside in 40 degree weather with no space heaters anywhere? It was pretty cold for Florida. He then started walking around the restaurant asking patrons of they were almost done eating which was very awkward. We ultimately left because with no room at the bar to wait, we felt we basically standing on top of people while they were eating. We felt very uncomfortable that the host would try to rush patrons through their meals to make room for us. He told us he could give a few tables ten minutes more at the most but nobody close to finishing their meals. We thanked him and said we would try someplace else and he said "oooohhh kaaaaaay" and rolled his eyes at us. Unfortunate that it was busy but the wait staff seemed annoyed that we wouldn't sit in the cold or wait in a doorway while they rushed a paying customer through their meal. Disappointing for sure.

Service was top-notch and the food was delicious. The waiter had an extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine. He was also very patient and accommodating with our numerous unique requests. This place is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for!!

I like to eat good food in my own house on weeknights, and since I can't cook, I order take out from great restaurants. Terra Mia offers take-out, and I have order from them twice. Love the pizza. That's all I've tried. I blame this on their web site being offline for more than a few months now and without an online menu to order from, I've just had to stick with what I know-- the pizza. This place would surely get a 5-star rating from me if they would just get their menu online. I know it seems like a small thing, but for me, it's not. I am spoiled by the convenience of having information at my fingertips, and when it's not there, I move on. As the saying goes, if you're not on the web, you're not in business.

This place is AMAZING! My boyfriend wanted brick oven pizza, and his iphone directed us to this place. Its tiny, but their pizza is amazing! Its a 13 inch personal pizza, but 2 people can easily eat from it. It was $12.50, which seemed a little pricey, but it was sooo worth it! We had the genovese pizza I think it was called.. It had pesto, tomato sauce, cheese and grilled chicken. Their tomato sauce is the best Ive ever had. I will definitely be going back!

The pizza is really good. I like the taste of the crust and the sauce is very basic but awesome. I haven't tried anything else but the Peroni while waiting for my pizza. The cooks speak Italian so I guess they are the real deal...not sure on the pastas though.

Me and my girlfriend go out a few times a week to eat, because during the week we dont see each other much because of work... We have so many places to go eat out at, but we always have a heart for Terra Mia... my girlfriend probably gets take out from Terra Mia about 3 times a week, (spaghetti with meatballs), its not just that tho, its the sauce that compliments the dish, its homemade... I have to also say that the pizza is excellent as well.. We love it there and will keep going to Terra Mia :)

Staying at the Westin, this quant strip restaurant showed interest as I walked by. They have nice outside seating and covered with a large umbrella. I asked a young women eating outside how the food tasted and she really liked it. I called by partner to come on over and we would try out this establishment. We sat and sat, finally after 20 minutes someone came out and asked if we would like to order. The waiter brought water and bread with an olive oil plate. That was the last time we ever saw him. I finally went inside and asked if I could order my food inside and I would come back in and sever it to myself. A waitress came up acting appalled said "no, please go back out side and I'll wait on you", I did just that and did receive excellent service. We both had Stromboli, it had an excellent taste, the sauce was to the side and had a small salad served as well. Didn't like hearing some an employee complaining about not being able to go home since the owners just showed up; other than that and starting off service, still a nice place to grab a lunch, just don't be in a hurry.

I went to TerraMia Brick Oven Pizza yesterday evening with my family, and we tried their pizza. It was horrible! The crust was too crunchy, hardly any cheese on it, and the vegetables and meat were disgusting. TerraMia Brick Oven Pizza is the worst I have ever had as far as pizza. I would not recommend them for any further food choices.

Best Italian food I've had since leaving Boston. Seriously. Had been recommended by friends so we went to try it out. Had the spaghetti carbonara which was terrific; I'm not joking about the comparison to boston, I haven't had carbonara this good since leaving Boston. DH has tried several other pasta dishes and always liked what he's ordered. Don't know about the pizza, it looks good but when one has the option of getting such great, genuine Italian pasta, pizza comes in second every time.

This place is always busy and very cramped, and the reason is that it is amazing (and small). I've gotten pizza every time but one (had some special which didn't blow me away, but others swear by their entrees, I just love the pizza too much to try anything else), but the pizza is delicious, and they have several different kinds, some standard and some for people that like bizarro toppings. The wait staff is definitely overworked, but they make a good effort to try to get everybody seated and served as soon as they can. They treat repeat customers very well too. Worth going every time. They only have beer and wine (and only Blue Moon and Peroni at that), but there are a bunch of full service bars right around the place, so it's not really an issue if you want liquor at some point.

There's a reason this place is busy! Authentic Italian at its best. Cooks are from Rome and Naples need I say more? All items are just like we experienced in Rome and Naples. Reasonable price great food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
